La Leche League of the Shoals
La Leche League is a friendly, non-profit, non-sectarian organization offering mother-to mother support, education, and information to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. Every woman interested in breastfeeding is welcome at our meetings and, of course, babies are always welcome! La Leche League meetings provide a friendly, accepting atmosphere and they include expectant, new, and experienced mothers and their babies. Come and discuss your breastfeeding concerns, meet other mothers of small children in our community, and take advantage of our library and information sheets on all aspects of breastfeeding, childbirth, and parenting.
Free 24-hour help is available about breastfeeding or meetings.

LLL Series Meetings:
Held on second Saturday of every month 11am-12:30pm at The Women's Education Room at the Raleigh Center of Helen Keller Hospital. Located adjacent to the ER entrance (not inside the hospital) and behind the Life Source building.

Meeting #2: Baby Arrives: The Family and the Breastfed Baby
Meeting #3: The Art of Breastfeeding and Overcoming Difficulties
Meeting#4: Nutrition and Weaning
LLL Enrichment Meetings:
Held on fourth Tuesday of every month, 11:00am-12:30pm at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library. Meeting will be held in their board room.
